Dahlia
Ross created Dahlia shortly following his move to New York City, where the project
performed frequently at landmark venues such as CBGB's. The music - ranging from contemplative portraits (iconic
silent film actress Louise Brooks, Polish author/artist and Nazi victim Bruno Schulz) to furious anthems of
independence and isolation - returns time and again to the theme of the individual confronted by a hostile world.
Lyrical soprano voice and raging electric bass combine and contrast, providing a unique voice to songs described by
many as "haunting." For those of you who have waited
patiently: at last - on CD!
