Dahlia
Ross created Dahlia shortly following his move to New York City, where the
project performed frequently at landmark venues such as CBGB's. The music - ranging from contemplative
portraits of actress Louise Brooks and author Bruno Schulz, to furious anthems of independence and isolation
- centers upon the theme of the individual confronted by a hostile world. Lyrical soprano voice and raging electric
bass combine and contrast, providing a unique voice to songs described by many as "haunting." The quintessential
guitar-less power trio! (augmented in these recordings by keyboard) For the many of you who have waited
patiently: at last - on CD!
